It's that time of year again...are you ready?
Cookie sales have begun! Click here for a go getter form, if you're unable to get an order form.
We have a new flavor this year...Smores!
Our next meeting on January 28th will be graciously hosted at Ricci's home.
See the facebook page for directions.
We are still deciding on the time. Please visit our poll here:
We are planing a DIY day! Be prepared to get messy and be creative!
Girls should bring their order forms this day for our initial cookie order from the cookie booth.
We are working on arranging booths which will allow for more sales, and girls can continue to use the go getter forms after the initial order. Current booth locations include:
Town Meeting Day
Ben and Jerry's Winterfest (tentative)
Bear Pond Books (tentative)
If you have any ideas for times and locations please let us know at the meeting.

November Girl Scout Meeting Overview
We focused part of the meeting on first aid where we discussed ways to prevent accidents, how to handle some situations, and items that we should have in a first aid kit. For the girls to get the First Aid Badge we need to create a mini first aid kit so we thought that for the next meeting everyone could bring in one item for each girl to add to their kit. Some of the items that we thought of are listed below. Please let us know what you will bring so that we do not have too much of one item.
- Band aids
- Bandages
- Medicine - Benadryl, Advil, etc.
- Antiseptic wipes
- Antibiotic ointment
- Tweezers
- Itch cream
- Gloves
- Ice pack
- Thermometer
- Tape
- Gauze
I can check the dollar store to see if I can find something for the girls to use as a kit or if anyone has any other ideas please let me know.
We also want to do something for the local Ronald McDonald house. There are some ideas floating around such as preparing a meal, making holiday cookies or gingerbread houses, or collecting donations. The girls just want to do something special so we still have to work that out.
Other ideas that are still being considered is doing something for the Syrian refugees and for NCAL. The how and what is still being worked out, but I don't want us to lose sight of either of these.
Adult planning meeting is scheduled for December 4th at 4 o'clock at The Cork.
Next Girl Scout meeting is scheduled for December 11th at 4 o'clock.
If anyone has any other times that they want to get together and do something please speak up. We can do more meetings, but with the holidays right now I know it can be difficult to get all of us together. Even if only some want to work on something then that is fine.
***Reminder: The girls need to find/research a woman who has done something important in history and then share this with the other girls at the next meeting. They can do a simple summary or prepare a presentation, whatever works for them. ***
