I think we can get through all this stuff so that the girls can earn their manners badges in one big swoop. I also know that Denise would like to finish up her mural. I think we will need some parent power to run the stations, maybe we can enlist the help of a Brownie mom and Daisy Mom...I also do not have the Daisy book, or story to read. So, it would be great if someone could bring in their Daisy book.
I think any girl can do any station, but they need to hit their stations to earn the badge.
Brownie stations (making friends badge):
1: Parent led discussion about friendship: How do you introduce yourself to a new friend, practice by introducing yourself to 3 others at the meeting. Sometimes friends disagree, discuss what to do when you and a friend argue. What are nice things to say to a friend? Eg. "I love your new shoes, are they new?"
2: River Rocks: decorate a river rock to give to a friend at the meeting (swap).
3: Tea Party: practice your new skills.
Junior stations (social butterfly badge):
1: parent led discussion: table manners: placement of plate, silverware, etc. What manners do you use at the dinner table?
2: Thank you Cards: write a thank you card to someone: a teacher, a parent, a counselor, etc…
3: Juniors will set up the tea party.
4: Tea Party: there will be conversation cards at the table. They will use these cards for polite conversations.
