Girl Expo 2016 is coming to the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction, VT, on Saturday, April 23 from 10 am to 4 pm The region's ONLY expo featuring "Everything Exciting for Girls," this action-packed event boasts over 100 booth exhibitors, main stage shows, free workshops, giveaways, a live radio broadcast, a climbing wall, and much, much more! Geared towards girls ages 5 to 18 and their families, Girl Expo is the perfect outing for your troop, your friends, or your family. Girl Scout members pay only $3 online or $5 at the door to attend our day-long event. Admission is $5 for the general public. Exciting Expo add-ons include: - Catch the Coach: Leave the driving to us as you travel in style on a luxury coach bus. Coaches depart from Concord, NH at 8:30 am and return at 6 pm, and depart from Rutland, VT at 9 am and return at 5:30 pm. Spend time with new and old Girl Scout friends as you relax in your reclining seat and enjoy the DVD monitors. Open to Girl Scouts and their families. $30 per person. - Giant Girl Scout Slumber Party: Join your Girl Scout friends for a super-sized sleepover inside the expo hall! Get a sneak peek at the fun, sing songs, make new friends, and eat s'mores. Restrooms and showers available. On Saturday morning, you'll have time to explore beautiful Burlington, VT, before returning to enjoy the day at Girl Expo! Open to Girl Scout members. $10 per person includes overnight accommodations, special patch, and Friday night snack.

- Girl Scout "Project Runway" - Create a unique piece of fashion, then strut your stuff on the runway.

Alayna recently made history when she became the first woman to conduct a science experiment on the Miss America Stage! Her story is truly inspiring: a huge supporter of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education, she currently works for the Vermont state medical examiner's office and is using her Miss Vermont prize money to pay her medical school tuition!
Behold the Bootmobile! Visiting from coastal Maine, the L.L. Bean Bootmobile is setting foot at our Girl Expo! Stop by the giant boot for fun photos, games, and giveaways- you just might win a $300 L.L. Bean gift card! Bake for Good Juniors though Cadettes are invited to learn how to make bread from the experts at King Arthur Flour, then experience the joy of sharing. Girls participating in the Bake for Good program will enjoy a baking demonstration, then take home a bread-making kit containing everything they'll need to bake delicious bread for their families - and for families in need.
